going back to school 2010 by landon

I was so mad that I did not have any friends in my class. I got Mr. Jordan he is a good teacher but he is strict. All my other friends are in Mrs.Williams the teacher I wanted.

bummed!!!

Found out that I did not get the charge nurse position at work.

They hired someone from the outside. 3 years experience, from a 75 bed hospital, and no Gyn experience.

Today I found out that my clinical coordinator called the unit this am to tell me (I wasn't there I was on stand-by) that she was starting and then told everyone that I had a problem with the new night charge.

I have more experience, my boss said she hired from the outside so that she could shake up night shift.

I really want a new job. I cannot even get an interview???!!! Not sure what I should do.

Right now I really hate my life as it is!!!!!

Where has the time gone!!!

Dear Friend and Family-

I cannot believe that it has been months since my last posting. School is now done for the boys and we are getting ready for swimming lessons to start. We are also looking forward to visits from Grandma and Grandpa B and Grandma and Grandpa H.

I am going to be taking about 16 days off during end June. It will be good to be just a mom for a time. I applied for a charge nurse position at work and interviewing is going to start next week. It will be interesting to see if I get the job. I don't know if I want the job or not. It is a lot of add responsibility that I really don't need right now.

I Love My Job, But.....

As some of you know I took care of my first fetal demise about 6 weeks ago. In the last couple of weeks I have taken care of a couple of mothers that have had late 1st trimester miscarriages. It just hurts my heart to see my patient in the emotional pain and I really cannot do anything but talk it through with them or cry with them (and it is usually the latter).

I just wish that I could fix their emotional hurt as easily as I can fix some their physical pain.

Update on Me

Just a quick update on what I have been doing. I took the intermediate fetal monitoring class for work. I passed which is a good thing. I had some moments in class when I did not think I was going to pass.

My Nutrition class is going ok. I really not all that impressed with my class as a whole. The Computer grading is a pain in my rear.

All in all every things is going well. I am as busy as ever. Next semester it looks like I will be teaching 3 days a week.

Busy, Busy and BUSIER

For those of you who have been keeping up with my family blog know that nothing new has been posted in the last month or so.

The kids started school. Soccer started. I started teaching again on Aug 28. 

I have 16 student in my nutrition class and 13 are high school students. They are in a program that is paid for by the county so that they can get college credits while in high school.

So watch for more to come.
